If you need a quick and easy focal backdrop for your party then this is the backdrop for you! It is super simple to create and can be put up in a flash! Perfect to use behind a cake table or as a cool photo booth backdrop.
All you need is:
- Crepe Paper Streamers. (our backdrop was 1.5m x 2m and we used 100m of crepe paper garlands in total, 5 full rolls will cover it)
- Wide Metallic Streamer
- Metallic streamers from cut from a door curtain (curling ribbon will work too)
- 3m of ribbon
Begin by attaching two lines of ribbon to the wall using decorator hooks. Starting with the bottom row, cut long pieces of crepe paper and simply hang them over the string.
Continue along the bottom string adding blocks of colour with your crepe paper.
Once you have finished the bottom row start on the top. Add shorter lengths of crepe paper so that your bottom row of streamers peeks through below.
When you have finished the top row you can adjust, trim or add in more colour.
Once you are satisfied with how your backdrop looks add in the metallic streamers. Metallic streamers are slippery so attach to the top of your backdrop using glue dots to keep them in place.
