Simple, Easy and Inexpensive Balloon Weights Tutorial
March 12, 2019
Forgot to buy balloons weights! Don't panic! Use a few spare balloons as weights, they look cute and make adorable little balloon weights. These are particularly great to use as weights for big 36" Balloons.
These balloon Weights are so simple to make and do the job whilst looking super-cute. Simply hold the balloon tightly over a slowly running tap, fill the balloon with some water (see the weights of water required below) and tie tightly.
To hold 11" Helium Balloons - Use 5" or 11" Balloons as weights filled with 10g-50g of water
To hold 16" - 24" Balloons - Use 11" Balloons as weights filled with 120g of water
To hold 24"-36" Balloons - Use 2 x 11" Balloons (one inside the other) filled with 180g of water
If you use high quality balloons they are extremely difficult to burst but if you wish to be absolutely sure they don't then double them up by putting one balloon inside the other!
Boo! - Halloween has not been cancelled! Although traditional Halloween parties and Trick-or-Treating may not be on the agenda for most during this COVID19 pandemic, there are still plenty of ways we can celebrate this special time of year in a way that is safe and that follows social distancing restrictions.
I ordered these and the pastel wooden cutlery to give out to friends at socially-distanced gatherings so that I don’t have to wash up and risk spreading the virus. They are disposable but much more eco friendly than plastic. Ideal.
