A Tropical Kids House Party

A Tropical Party Inspired by Rio 2016

I am so excited about it being an Olympic year, heavily pregnant during the last Olymipcs I am going to be making the most of partying during Rio 2016. We put this Bright and fun tropical party together in no time at all and it is one of my favourites. Using a bright colour palette you can create a party with huge impact and atmosphere very simply and quickly.
you will find all the details of how to achieve this look below.

How this party was created:

DIY's and points of interest:

The Throne: Our Tropical Throne was created by attaching Palm Leaves (from the garden) to the back of a chair using masking tape. We added a comic touch by hanging our Star Sunglasses onto the leaves.

The Decorations:

Pineapple honeycombs opened only halfway were stuck to the wall with bluetack to create a cute backdrop. We used our Giant Pineapple Balloons and Potted Ferns accessories with Flamingo Stirrers and some Plastic Featherstone Flamingos to create some interest.

Mini Balloons were used as a table centerpieces (note these only last 1-2 hours inflated with helium)

On The Tables:

Bottles: Our cute Glass Drinking Bottles were decorated using a touch of Fringe Garland  and 500ml Serving Bottles were topped with some Neon Pink Washi Tape. Each Bottle had a flamingo Stirrer and a paper straw.

The cloth on the table is a Large Paper Lime Green Tablecloth. and we lay paml leaves down the middle with bunches of bananas, lemons and bright mini honeycombs to decorate.

For tableware we chose Palm Print Paper Plates with Pineapple Napkins, Sunny Yellow Utensils tied with Raffia.

Our Kraft Deli Boxes held the individual desserts and were tied with raffia and decorated with fruit picks.
